An original Norman Rockwell portrait of R. Earl Roberson, oil on canvasboard, 19 x 22.5, done in 1971. This distinguished portrait is signed in the lower right of the image in red paint, “Norman Rockwell.” This portrait of Roberson was painted while he served as the fifth president of American Mutual Insurance Company. Framed, without glass, with a small plaque affixed to frame, to an overall size of 27.5 x 31. In fine condition, with only normal wear commensurate with age. Portrait originates from the the Estate of Charles Martignette, and is reproduced as figure P118 on page 1003 of Norman Rockwell A Definitive Catalogue by Laurie Moffatt, The Norman Rockwell Museum at Stockbridge, 1986. Oversized.
