Nothing short of exquisite describes the exceptional beauty of this Noritake Morimura Bros. quality porcelain vanity tray. Warm and rich color pigments used in this early Nippon offering help to create a lovely piece of floral artistry and is a perfect compliment to the Autumn season.

Delicate rectangle with softly rounded corners detailed in rich burnished gold beading forms the shape, shades of coral and green, with petals and centers enhanced lavishly with gold complete the floral scene on an Umber tint washed and cream porcelain ground. The design has texture due to the heavy use of paints.

Measuring 10 by 7 inches, it is on the small side for a vanity tray, nonetheless, it would look lovely on Me'lady's vanity or in a Display Cabinet with your other painted china.

Excellent condition with beading intact and minor gold wear. M-in-Laurel Wreath green handpainted Nippon mark. Van Patten Mark #47. Circa 1900.
