Non-Restricted rifle Lee Enfield (Lithgow) model SHT LE III*, .303 British ten shot bolt action, w/ bbl length 25" [Blued barrel and receiver. Fixed front and adjustable rear sights. Full Australian coachwood military stock. Brass butt plate. Includes webbed sling dated "1942" and ten round detachable magazine. Appears to be FTR (Factory Thorough Repair) rifle with evidence of re-worked wood, replaced butt plates, some tooling marks on screw etc. Matching serial number on receiver and bolt and non-matching "D4623" on top right side of band and "41374" on nose cap. Other markings include "ENGLAND" on left lower side of band "LITHGOW" inspection marks on receiver, right side of band etc. 'LITHGOW SHT LEE III*" in a shield and "1922" on right side of band etc. Fitted with magazine cut off, mechanically appears near excellent and only minor use, handling and storatge marks since being reworked.] serial # B2744, PAL required
