Property being sold is not new! Dents, dings, scratches and other damage may be present—and is common—on used and vintage items. Items are available for preview well in advance of the auction and we take several pictures as well. Please inspect thoroughly PRIOR to bidding. Once auctioneer says “SOLD” Buyer assumes all responsibility for items.
Description: For sale in this lot is an antique, non-regulation leather holster which appears to be for a pocket model Colt or something similar from the Civil War era. We found no markings other than on the back of the belt loop strap are the numbers 1086, 22 and 5. Very faint on the front, you can almost make out a US, but it's hard to see. Maker: Unknown. Approx. Age: Believed to be Civil War period. Size: 4-1/2 inches wide x 10 inches long. Condition: Has been well oiled over the years and is still fairly supple. But it is very old and in what we consider "fair" condition for its age and should be handled with care. Please look closely at the pictures - they are an important part of our description. Shipping: There will be a $5 handling / packaging fee for shipping this lot. The actual cost of postage will be added on top of that.
