<B>Nolan Miller Designed Masquerade Mask in Gold Beads with a Plume on Handle.</B></I> Ca. 1985; Sequins, beads, feathers, wood dowel, lame; Label: Nolan Miller; 7 1/2" wide, 32" high.<BR><BR>This mask has a netted foundation with gold thread. Covered with gold sequins and small faceted beads in pink and purple, it is overlaid with tear-drop beads at the nose, upper corners and leading into the feathered plume of gold feathers. The plume is further adorned with gold faceted round beads and silver beads with a radiating pattern. Backed in gold lame, the exposed gold glue secures the plume and handle which is adorned with gold beads, and has a jeweled end in gold faceted beads and a gold bead. In Fine condition. The plume has some damage, the feathers appearing to be out of place, but is possible that this seeming damage is part of the original design.
