<B>Nolan Miller Belted Ruby Red Beaded Gown Worn by Pamela Sue Martin in <I>Dynasty</B></I></B></I> <B>with the Original Watercolor Sketch.</B></I> Ca.1985; Gown: silk chiffon, bugle beads, cording; Label: Nolan Miller; Dress Size: 6. <BR><BR>Red silk, chiffon, floor-length gown with bloused draped bodice, spaghetti straps and cinched waist leading to a straight skirt with side slit to mid thigh. The waist is accentuated with a 1 3/4" belt. The dress is lined with ruby red silk chiffon. A weight is attached to the lining at center back to create a draped effect. The beading is continued on the lining at neckline, front and back, ensuring that unbeaded lining will not be visible no matter how the drapes fall. There are two anchoring ribbons secured from the waist to the base of the spaghetti strap. The red chiffon of the dress and belt are hand beaded with a tight overall zig-zag pattern of bugle beads. The spaghetti straps in ruby red cording are lined in bugle beads.<BR><BR>The original sketch is fabulous, showing the beautiful Pamela Sue in this stunning gown, accessorized with as much sparkle as the dress itself. Nolan also had designed a cape in ruby red to match the gown. The sketch is signed by Nolan Miller in black marker and labeled "Pamela Sue Martin, Dynasty."<BR><BR>Pamela Sue Martin wore this gown in the opening credits beginning in season two. It was also worn by Joan Collins for a publicity photo shoot. In Fine condition, there is some beading loss. The most significant areas of loss are a 2" x 1/2" area at the center of the neckline (not noticeable because of the draping), and a 1" x 1/2" area near the hem line at front left. The belt also has some bead loss near the grommets and hooks. There are small holes in chiffon lining, and a rip that was repaired, otherwise in Fine condition. The sketch is in Very Fine condition, with minor age toning and bumps along the edges and corners. There are also some light but visible marks below the gown and glue residue at the upper right. The image is flawless, a wonderful example of Nolan's work. <I>From the Nolan Miller Collection.</B></I><B>Condition Report:</B> This gown is in Fine condition with some beading loss.
