<B>Nolan Miller Designed Masquerade Mask in Black Feathers, Black Beads and White Jewels on Jeweled Handle.</B></I> Ca. 1986; Feathers, mirrors, bugle and rocaille beads, faceted beads, sequins, white faceted jewels in black plastic bezel, velveteen, wood dowel; Label: Nolan Miller; 16 1/5" wide, 37" high.<BR><BR>This elaborately beaded mask has a black net foundation with an asymmetrical composition of beads, sequins and jewels. From the right side are radiating arms of white jewels in black plastic bezels interspersed with round mirrors. This is overlaid with appliqued and beaded flowers and leaves that continue across the mask. The mask is framed with black feathers, the jewels and applique extending into the feathers. The back is covered with black velveteen and shows black glue which secures the design and handle. The end of the handle is spiraled with black bugle beads and sequins, finished with a white jewel and a black tassel. Fine condition. There is some bead loss on the mask and perhaps on the handle at the upper edge. <I>From the Nolan Miller Collection.</B></I><B>Condition Report:</B> Normal signs of wear as appropriate with age.
