<B>Nolan Miller Designed Gown for Sophia Loren. </B></I> Ca. 1987; Silk chiffon, silk satin; Label: Nolan Miller Couture; Dress Size: 6/8.<BR><BR>Floor-length, black, silk chiffon gown with pleated bodice and sleeve. The bodice is scooped front and back, with pleating originating at center front in diagonal lines to either side. The pleats transition to horizontal lines as they move up the lined bodice to the padded shoulder and into the sleeve. The sleeve is finished with a rounded edge originating at the inner seam. The gown opens at center back with a zipper finished with a hook & eye. The A-line chiffon skirt closes over the silk satin lining with snaps.<BR><BR>This gracefully flowing gown was designed by Nolan Miller for Sophia Loren. His marker sketch for this gown, characteristically suggesting Sophia Loren's features, is included with the lot. It is boldly signed "Nolan Miller" and labeled "Sophia." Also included is a photograph of Sophia Loren in this gown being escorted by Nolan Miller at the International Designer Guild Ball.
