(TV Film, 1965) Sketch of Fontanne as "Fanny Holmes" wearing a period fur-trimmed red evening dress. Accomplished in ink and watercolor on a 13 in. x 20 in. leaf of artist's drawing papers. Comes with a pair of Tiffany & Co. French Paste earrings, in the original box, worn by Fontanne along with the costume. Fontanne and her husband and co-star, Alfred Trent, both won Emmy Awards for their performances in this film. In addition, this film won an Emmy for Best Picture of the Year, and it was later recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences that a category for Best Costumes should be established to recognize design efforts such as those seen in this film.
