<td width="100%">
This is a terrific-looking Nippon pitcher, with a uniquely-molded pinched spout. Nicely adorned with a pink enamel wing-flapping chicken. It stands a shade over 7" tall, and is in very good-to-excellent condition. There's a tiny paint "flake" on the rim, some minor wear on the spout, and half of one enamel bead is missing. These are extremely minor in nature. A slightly smaller version is featured in Joan Van Patten's most recent book, the Collector's Encyclopedia of Nippon Porcelain, Seventh Series, page 179, plate 4822. Marked, with the green Nippon M-in-wreath backstamp.
