Superb 4-1/4" footed bowl with scene of windmill, lake, boat and geese chasing a man. This piece has the identical scene as the dish in Joan Van Patten's Sixth Series, Collector's Encyclopedia of Nippon Porcelain as shown in plate 4228 on page 241. The manufacturer's mark is from the same company, although it does not indicate Nippon. Whether this was a mistake in not putting Nippon or not, I do not know.

This lovely bowl is in wonderful condition. There are a few of the very tiny beads missing, but becuase they have left their mark, it is very difficult to notice. There is no loss or rubbing of the paint. The slip trail in the border of the plate and on the ball feet is intact. The larger "jewels" are intact. There are no nicks, chips, hairlines or cracks.
