<B>Ninth Plate Tintype of Middle-Aged Couple (Krainik 380),</B></I> ca. 1870, the husband sports a rather modern tie, an obsolete 1850s haircut, and a guarded expression as if he expects to be shot. His wife, however, faces the lens with confidence and seems to be ignoring her paranoid spouse altogether. The image is housed in a thermoplastic case embossed with a scene titled “The Elopement”, <I>Krainik 380</B></I>. Minor crease to tintype, some wear and minor chips to case.
