Nicolaes Maes (Dortrecht 1631 - 1693 Amsterdam) Portrait of a Gentleman, oil on canvas, 54 x 38,5 cm, w/ frame, (Wo)€ 10.000 - 14.000 US $ 9.900 - 13.860 Nicolaes Maes, a renowned genre- and portrait painter, was a student of Rembrandt but developed in a different direction after 1660, both in his technique and in his choice of subjects.
