<B>Nickel Comics #1 Crowley Copy/File Copy (Fawcett, 1940) CGC VF+ 8.5 Cream to off-white pages.</B></I> Making his first appearance, Bulletman burst onto the comic scene with this premiere issue, which also told the character's origin including everything from the serum that gave him superpowers, to his gravity-defying helmet. This key issue was half the price of the usual comic, and half the size as well (32 pages, which later became the norm). It was also printed every two weeks. The series did not last long, but Bulletman was successful enough to star in <B>Master Comics</B></I> and even had his own title for a while. The cover of this premiere issue is by Jack Binder and sports a "Checking Copy" stamp as verification of the file copy provenance. Overstreet 2006 VF 8.0 value = $2,600; VF/NM 9.0 value = $4,400.
