Two ledgers from W & P Nicholls, major bankers at Dutch Flat. Nicholls apprenetly funded or financed many regional mines. These two ledgers track some of thta business. In one ledger (1871-1875), they bought a "little Giant" hydraulic monitor, and logged expenses in "cleaning gold." Another ledger (1851-not fully used)tracks the construction of a plank or turnpike road of the Stony Hill Turnpike Company. There are many names historians see in these edgers familiar to locals, especially the Fancer family. Placer County California
