Lisle Reedstrom collection of Custer Battlefield relics (copy of his book, “Custer’s 7th Cavalry” included) with plaque on rear of frame (7-1/2” x 5-1/2”) stating “These relics were purchased in 1995 from the personal collection of the artist and author of the Old West; E. Lisle Reedstrom, who was on the Custer Battlefield site during excavations and exhumations in 1958. (shells) 1,2 & 3 are actual battle fired cases found around Custer Hill. 4 is a post battle carbine round found on the battlefield. Four were found together all headstamped 10/80F, and are possibly the remains of a volley fired at one of the reinternments of bodies”. Est.: $150-$300.
