Reads in full: ''Sir, A certificate of Registry N 2, granted by you, for the Ship Marquis la Fayette, has been delivered up, and returned to this office by the collector of Salem in Massachusetts. Included? You will receive the marginal part of the certificate, containing the official Seals and Signatures of Yourself and the naval officer, which is transmitted to you, in order that the Bond given by the parties agreeable to law, may be allowed to be cancelled.
