This is an apt statement for such a powerful image of an area that, at one point in time, had one of the densest known population of lions. Tanzania's Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. It spans about 100 square miles and includes most of the animal species found in East Africa.
