The lot features a unique fully front beaded belt pouch attributed to the Nez Perce Native American Indians of Washington. The belt pouch, or other times referred to as a pelt panel, shows an Indian tanned hide construction with tow loops that would have attached to a fully beaded wide belt. The inside shows a floral calico fabric. The beadwork shows glass trade seed beads in light blue, light green, iridescent white, iridescent, dark purple, pink, semi-transparent iridescent green, and iridescent rose. The top right corner is signed with what is assumed to be the owners name, Lacey. The flap and bag show a long Indian tanned hide strap or fringe, which would have been used to tie the bag shut, showing six faceted Russian trade beads. The bag is truly a unique piece shows nice construction. Measures overall 6.75"L x 7.25"W with additional 9"L fringe ties. Measures 12" L when open.
