Both are virtually the same grade, and both have long been ensconced in major Georgia holdings, this since we sold it to the creator of the Rome collection just about a quarter of a century ago. It is a brightly colored <B>Very Fine</B></I> example with oversize margins all around, topped off by sharp pen signatures. The only defects, if they can even be labeled as such, are a small split in the oversize top margin and a sprinkling of pinholes common to these high denomination examples. Any estimate here is, in this market, just a rank guess, as only two collectors can ever aspire to own a $50 Brown Back from this state, but our best guess is that the hammer will fall somewhere in the range of...
