<B>New York World's Fair Comics #1940 Davis Crippen ("D" Copy) pedigree (DC, 1940) CGC VG- 3.5 Off-white pages.</B></I> Superman, Batman, and the Boy Wonder, Robin, welcome readers to the 1940 New York World's Fair on this Jack Burnley cover. This is an early Robin appearance, and this issue marks the first time these three popular characters appeared together. Pre-hero DC master artist Creig Flessel lends a hand in drawing some of the interior artwork, while the back cover has portraits of numerous DC characters including Zatara, Hourman, Johnny Thunder, Robin, Superman, and Batman. Gerber lists this book as "scarce." CGC notes, "cover detached." Overstreet 2006 VG 4.0 value = $2,256.
