Cert. #113, issued for 20 shares to Charles P. Wood in 1869, and signed by A. Gilkisore as president and Wm. G.Grant as secretary. Inc. in N.Y. A mining vignette at left shows miners working underground and at the right, miners out front of a millsite. Black on white. 25c Revenue at left center. Total capital was $95,410. Washoe District, Nevada printed at the bottom. The prospectors who flooded into Comstock soon overflowed into adjacent southern Washoe County and discovered mineral deposits in the Jumbo, Galena, and Peavine districts.

Production of gold in the county from 1902 through 1959 was 46,107 ounces (A. H. Koschmann and M. H. Bergendahl - USGS 1968). Tight trim on the borders. Extra folds. Very rare certificate. Uncancelled.
