Original hardcover photo album of the New York Senate, 1870–1871, originally belonging to Senator A. X. Parker, with his name embossed on the front cover. Album measures 9.5 x 11.25, and contains 34 5.5 x 7.5 portraits of the politicians, one affixed to each page, with 28 of the pages signed under their portraits by the senator pictured. Signers include: Governor John T. Hoffman, Hiram Calkins, James Pierce, Michael Norton, John Bradley, Anthony Bleecker Banks, A. X. Parker, and William Brand. In very good condition, with moderate wear to covers, mild rippling and toning to pages, and a bit of scattered foxing.
