New York March 5, 1776 $1/8 Very Choice New. One of the nicest New Yorks that we've had the pleasure of handling in quite some time. If the back were not just touched by its right margin, the note would be a perfect Gem. The signature is strong, the print quality is extraordinary and the face centering is ideal. The paper for this issue was manufactured with blue fibers mixed in. On this particular example, a very large clump of blue fibers was manufactured into the note at the top a bit left of center. It's not in any way a negative and actually adds considerable interest to the piece. A very exceptional note. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
