<B><I>The New York Herald</B></I></B></I> <B>April 24, 1865, Lincoln's Funeral.</B></I> Eight pages, 16.5” x 24”, April 24, 1865. This issue contains all the then-known arrangements for Abraham Lincoln's funeral. There is also a story regarding the assassins, and the speculation that Booth is “doubtless concealed in Washington”. Curiously the back page contains only a brief story about the new president, Andrew Johnson. Obviously the shock of Lincoln's death overshadowed even the installation of the new president.
