Location:New Market, Tennessee, United States
Stamped F. W. (Francis W.) Cooper New York, worked 1846-1851, coin silver, cream pitcher, both Repousse work as well as chasing, small dent where base stem attaches to flared out base, and an old solder joint where the base of the handle attaches to the body of the pitcher. The design has a sort of beaded pattern around the exterior of the base and rim of the spout, fancy monogram of S in a Victorian cartouche with an almost fish scale band around the top of the body of the pitcher. 5 3/4" tall by 4 1/4" from spout to handle. To be 150+ years old, this pitcher is in a remarkable state of preservation.
