1883, New York. Stock certificate issued GEORGE BIRD GRINNELL (1849-1938) American anthropologist, historian, naturalist and a writer. Grinnell organized the first Audubon Society and was an organizer of the New York Zoological Society. Vignette of a train at top center. Ornate border with shields at each corner. Blind embossed seal. Punch and pen cancelled. Minor edge wear. One small edge split at fold. Edges of embossed seal show some separation. Overall Very Fine.
