Extremely rare vintage 28 x 21.75 promotional poster for the “World’s Greatest Wrestlers,” a professional wrestling showcase held at the Bronx’s New York Coliseum on December 26, 1933, which features images of Jack Sherry (“World’s Uncrowned Champion”), Vanka Zelezniak (“Siberian Wildman”), Paul Boesch (“Brooklyn Adonis”), and Jack Humberto of “Italy.” Printed by Empire City Job Print, the poster features bold red and black lettering that lists the card’s various matchups: Jack Sherry vs. Sid Westrich, Dick Shikat vs. Harry Fields (plugged as the “New Jewish Sensation”), “Whiskers” Zelezniak vs. Paul Boesch, Fred Grubmeier vs. Hans Steinke, Tony Colesano vs. Bull Komar, and Jack Humberto vs. Andy Brown. Text to top and bottom notes the address, ticket prices, and “Smoking Allowed.” In very good to fine condition, with small nail stains along the edges, a small area of loss to the upper left corner, and a piece of clear packing tape running vertically from top to bottom.
