This gun was manufactured by Remington and is the New Model 1858 Army Percussion Revolver. The gun itself shows wear and the grips have been carved. This gun is significant and has a historic story. The gun was purchased directly from the grandson of the original owner from the Montana Sioux. The Sioux Native American from the 1800's a part of the Montana Sioux People was a part of the Battle of the Little Big Horn with other Indians such as Sitting Bull. He picked this gun up after the battle and handed this down through his family until it was purchased directly from the grandson by the current owner. The gun is a 44 Caliber. The gun shows carvings done by the Indian Family and also much wear. (note there is no paper work on this story and is sold as-is). Great collectible gun that is 155 years old. The hammer does pull back and the cylinder rotates and trigger does work.
