This clear pressed glass with tops of black glass, Art Deco vanity set consists of two perfume bottles, with ground glass stoppers and a powder jar with lid, both are adorned with a feather shaped finial. The bottles and jar have an exquisiter Art Deco shape. Produced during the 1930s by the New Martinsville Glass Manufacturing Co. Known as No 18-2, this elegant Art Deco set is shown on pg 299 of Weatherman's 'Colored Glassware of the Depression Era' vol 2, and also on pages 119 & 122 of Whitmeyer's 'Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years'. Lovely to find this superb example of New Martinsville Art Deco glass in black and clear, and with all six pieces in such excellent condition with no damage to the stopper or lid.
