Description: Coarse paper stock. Serial No. 8911. Signed by Sam. Smith, another signer too light to determine. 98mm by 52mm. Two-Sided. Sage leaf nature print on back. Printed by Benjamin Franklin, though his imprint is not present. A worthwhile note both physically and aesthetically, with the PCGS qualifiers doing the note more justice than harm. The Ford writer noted: “It is not far of a stretch to say that this low denomination note in this grade may be Condition Census. The present writer, a New Jersey native, has a tee-shirt that reads “New Jersey, Look Twice Before You Laugh.” The same holds true for this lower graded rarity. It may seem like a “rag” to the uninitiated, but to a specialist it borders on grail desirability.
