New Ithaca Field Grade 410 Gauge Double Barrel Shotgun with Mutton Case
Built from 1926 to 1948. 3" chambers, choked full/full with an extractor. Single bead sight on a concave matte solid rib. Barrels are numbered to the gun and are marked "SMOKELESS POWDER STEEL" and "MADE IN U.S.A.". The casehardened action features a dog on point on both sides which also have the standard address marking. Double triggers, auto tang safety and cocking indicators. Oiled checkered walnut splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with grip cap and serrated buttplate. Length of pull is 14". Complete with mutton case.

Condition: Excellent. The barrels retains over 97% original blue finish with thinning on the ends and some scattered minor spotting. The trigger guard is a mix of original blue and smooth brown patina. The action retains 95% original case colors with limited minor pitting. The freshened wood shows evidence of some sanding and has a small minor crack on the forearm which has numerous mild scratches and a few small chips. The buttstock has a few minor handling marks. The recut checkering is crisp. The buttplate is chipped on the toe. The case is good with some loose stitching, and age cracking on the straps. Mechanically fine.
