<B>New Hampshire Governor Charles Sawyer Autograph Letter Signed,</B></I> 2 pages, Dover, Dec. 22, 1887; a letter to the Honorable John D. Lyman endorsing the Grange and their fine work. In part: "<I>I have a very fine opinion of the Grange and its work in advancing and encouraging the Agriculture of New Hampshire...</B></I>". Usual folds with some toning thereat, otherwise very good. With a second letter by <B>John Goddard,</B></I> 1 page, Portsmouth, May 5, 1814 sending a contribution of $51.00 towards relief efforts on behalf of victims of a fire. Paper is heavily worn, with tears and some paper loss, and integral address panel with postal cancellation.
