Classified as Nevada State Prison at Carson City by Ned Martin this double round hitched bridle has multi-colored cheeks and knots along with natural colored reins and head pieces. Flat brow band and made without a nose band. Quoting Gladys Rowley circa 1938 the Martin book states that the Nevada State Prison had a horsehair hitching and braiding program from 1912 to 1938. Very few Carson City bridles are known to exist.
