Later worked by the Chinese. Notes on English Mountain District, Located in the Northeastern part of the county near Bowman Lake. Mining began here in the 1860's, Gold and Copper worked at the turn of the century. Notes on Columbia Hill, first mined by the Tisdale Bros. in 1853. Columbia Hill declined with the end of Hydraulic Mining. The Columbia Consolidated Mining Co. operated here until 1920.
