This is a rare Tecoma, Elko County, Nevada mining stock certificate. Tecoma was known as a railroad stop for mines in other districts. Few local mining companies were ever formed. This is certificate No. 44, issued for 100 shares to the company secretary E.W. Wiggins on Feb. 15th, 1881. Also signed by the company vice president, J.F. Woodman. In 1880 Wiggins was a Deputy Mineral Surveyor in Utah. Colonel J. F. Woodman discovered the famous Centennial-Eureka Mine and the Emma Mine in Utah.
