Two volumes, bound in one. 4to [27 by 21.5 cm], contemporary light brown half morocco with mottled boards; spine with five raised bands, paneled in blind and lettered in gilt; marbled endpapers. (12), 256; (4), 258, (8) pages; finely engraved title vignette, frontispiece and tailpiece in the first volume; woodcut headpieces and tailpieces; occasional coin engravings in the text; 7 + 7 finely engraved folding plates of ancient coins.
