Contemporary, c.1970, U.S.A. Made from fossilized walrus tusk, having a toad carved on each side of hollowed-out cactus, with naturally occurring dark variations in pale yellow surface. Both toads have inlaid mother of pearl plaque engraved with the letter ÔS' for the artist Gregg Stradiotto.
Note: Born in Denver, Colorado, 1949. The artist is completely self taught. His favorite material is fossilized walrus ivory.
Length 5.7 cm. (2 1/4 in.) and 2.3 cm (7/8 in.) respectively.
