ALS, four pages on two adjoining sheets, 5.5 x 5.25, no date. Letter to George. In part: “I was so glad to get your nice letter…I am very well & am just starting off for a tour of the English provinces which I don’t much like the idea of—however I must go so I may as well do it gracefully…How is Tim? I wonder if he knows why I broke? I did think I could trust him but evidently no men are to be trusted in this world.…I know I can trust you because I know you are fond of me.” A collector’s stamp to top of second page, a bit of mild toning, and old tape remnant to hinge, otherwise fine condition.
