This gorgeous badge was given to Neil Bush to wear at the 1988 Republican National Convention, where he saw his father nominated as the Republican candidate for the White House. The badge is made of gold enamel, measures 1.75” x 1.25”, and has a “NEIL M. BUSH” name plate hanging from it. Below the badge is a tri-color ribbon holding a gold-plated medallion reading “1988” in the center, and the legend around it reads “REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION NEW ORLEANS”. A wonderful Republican collectible from George H. W. Bush’s victorious first campaign for president. Manufactured by Medallic Art Company of Danbury, Connecticut, and commissioned by the Republican National Committee.
