Color vintage 8 x 10 NASA photo, signed and inscribed in black felt tip “To Tom Bodell, Best wishes, Neil Armstrong, Gemini VIII.” Accompanied by a letter of provenance from a friend of the original recipient, who acquired the photo at the Gemini 8 homecoming parade for Armstrong in his hometown of Wapakoneta on March 16, 1966. Also included are several souvenirs from the occasion including a ticket to the Welcome Home banquet, a locally printed memo calendar for April 1966, with Neil Armstrong Day, and a printed postcard photo of an artist’s image of Armstrong in his space suit. In fine condition, with a bit of light surface rubbing to top edge of background, not detracting from overall presentation. Pre-certified Scott Cornish and RRAuction COA.
