Signed book: Kill Devil Hill: Discovering the Secret of the Wright Brothers. First edition, first printing. Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1979. Hardcover with dustjacket, 6.25 x 9.25, 389 pages. Signed on the first free-end page in blue ballpoint by Armstrong, who wrote the foreword to the book. Also signed in blue ballpoint by Janet Armstrong, and in black felt tip by author Harry Combs, and three others, two of whom are apparently Wright descendants. Owner’s name tag affixed to front pastedown, a mild shade of toning to signed page, and wear and a few small edge tears to dustjacket, otherwise fine condition. Excellent association between two most important aviation events: the birth of flight and the landing on the moon.
