Near mint Remington rolling block cadet rifle with square top frame made for export probably to the European market. Only markings are patent dates on left forward portion of frame. The rifle measures 43” overall with 28” barrel. The bore measures approximately 11 mm and is center-fire. The barrel retains 90% to 95% original bright blue with slight losses and scratches towards the front of muzzle from bayonet. The frame shows 90% to 95% original case hardening which is still very colorful and just toning ever so slightly. The breech block and hammer show bright original blue as does the rear sight bands and ramrod. The butt plate shows 30% to 50% toning case color. The rifle is equipped with 2 sling swivels. The action is crisp and the bore is excellent. The rifle shows little to no use. The stocks also are fine with just a couple of minor scratches and storage marks. A very pretty Remington with high condition and is seldom seen. Est.: $2,000-$4,000.
