For the Denny O'Neil scripted chiller "The Soft, Sweet Lips of Hell," Englehart teamed with Neal Adams to turn in these finely detailed, <I>film noir </B></I>-like scenes. Englehart wrote of his early art, "I had a good sense of layout, which is to say, storytelling. When I got the chance to write, that worked better, and was better received by those editors, so I gave up on art. The sense of layout continues to serve me, in that I can imagine how I'd draw any story I write, so I don't ask for stuff that can't be done." Neal Adams enthralled Warren readers with his superb grey tone art for their horror magazines.
