Neal Adams drew what many consider the definitive Superman of the late sixties, and his covers from this era are classics, even when their subject matter is some of the loopier goings-on in Lois' little corner of the DC Universe. This one is about as tantalizing as they come, especially for the young male reader (who might be crying, "Let 'em keep fighting, Supes!"). The cover that was finally used was very similar to this version, but it put angrier expressions on the gal's faces, and placed the scene in mid-air, the better to get across the message that this was a <I>super-powered</B></I> catfight. The page is 1.5" x 17.5" with a 10" x 15" image area, and as a special treat, a copy of the comic book is included. <B>Estimate: $6,000-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium.
