This 47 x 78 100% wool, authentic Navajo rug features two Yei figures with triangular shaped heads, holding arrows and feathers. The rug shows a large storm pattern design in the center and 24 feathers down each border, for a total of 48 border feathers. The center of the design also shows 26 feathers. The top and bottom of this rug show double-ended arrows. The wools used in this rug are natural, heather brown, dark brown, and red. The weft selvage cords are a contrasting natural color, and the corner tassels have worn away, leading to some unraveling of the corners that could be halted with proper conservation care. One section to the left of the left most Yei figure is unraveling along the edge, but could also be corrected by conservation efforts. A fabulous example of very tight, intricate Navajo weaving.
