Native American Navajo Sterling King Manassa Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace, very unusual in design, 10 blossoms each measuring approx. 2.25'' and necklace measures 25'' end to end and the naja 3''L x 3.5''W, hollow silver beads strung on wire, 18 beautiful cabs total with the largest measuring 7/8'' x 3/8''. Manassa Turquoise was mined at Manassa in south central Colorado. Manassa Turquoise is known for its blue-green to green color with a golden or brown, non-webbed matrix. It runs primarily in veins hosted by a beautiful golden brown hard rock. The Manassa Turquoise mine was originally called the Lickskillet Mine. It was one of the first Turquoise deposits found in Colorado and the Southwest as well. The Manassa mine is believed to first have been mined by the Anasazi Indians.
