Navajo Sterling & Turquoise Petite Old Pawn Cuff
Included in this lot we have a Navajo Native American sterling silver and turquoise petite point old pawn bracelet. The term Old Pawn refers to the jewelry pieces that the old Navajo would trade for credit at trading outposts. Native American Navajo had different needs than their white counterparts out in the wilds of the Old West, and traders would credit currency and trading goods for these pieces of jewelry. The piece shows sterling silver two band construction with a silver platform at the center housing 15 pieces of turquoise. The sleeping beauty turquoise are cut in petite point and set along the center of the cuff. The top of the bracelet shows silver rope in the center running along the sides with a silver droplet at the center of each end. The piece is marked in the back reading "Butch - H". The bracelet shows good condition overall with a warm patina across the piece. It measures 6 3/4" in circumference and 1/2" wide.
