Old Navajo Sunburst Handcrafts Inc. shop in New Mexico later named ''Teme Inc''.by Lional McKinney. Mr. McKinney renamed the company to Teme, after the Keresen word Teme, from the Pueblo of Acoma in central New Mexico, which means ''jewelry/jewelry maker.'' In the mid seventies an Acoma elder bestowed the name upon Mr. Lional McKinney. He was bestowed the name because of Lional's passion and talent for making jewelry. Teme Inc was bought by Navajo Arts and Crafts Enterprise in 2007. Navajo Arts and Crafts Enterprise is owned by the Navajo Nation.
