This lot includes a Navajo Native American, sterling silver and Carico Lake Turquoise bracelet. This bracelet is done in the style of the popular Fred Harvey jewelry. Fred Harvey jewelry was made for the Anglo tourist along the Santa Fe railroad lines, in hotels and retail shops run primarily by the Fred Harvey Company. Harvey hired Navajo silversmiths to create decorative, symbolized jewelry for the tourist trade. Fred Harvey era jewelry is widely collected and sought after. It is easy to wear and generally has a fair amount of ornamentation and stamping. This bracelet features a single cabochon of Carico Lake Turquoise set in a shadow box. The bracelet is hand stamped along the exterior. This style of jewelry became popular after Harvey’s passing. The interior circumference measures approximately 6”.
